Creamy & sweet just like the name “Cinta Manis”; the durians are grown from its own farm at Cinta Manis Eco Resort. The trees were well taken care of for more than 15 years hence the richness & distinguished flavoured taste can be observed and savoured by many. There are wide varieties of durians available such as Musang King, Tekka, Udang Merah, D24 and many more to look out for.

Musang King


Musang King durians are a famous Malaysian variety belonging to the Malvaceae family. The sweet, subtly bitter fruits are highly favored for their unusual, golden yellow flesh and creamy, silky consistency.

Durian Udang Merah


Durian Udang Merah really needs no introduction among durian lovers. The durian that comes from Balik Pulau is one of the best durians in terms of taste. Among the Chinese community there he is referred to as Durian Ang-Hae.

Tekka


Tekka or also known as Musang Queen. It was named after our previous Prime Minister, Dato Seri Najib made a passing comment while eating Tekka durian. The durian is thick and fluffy on the inside and gives off a sweet buttery flavor.

D24


D24 durians are also known as Sultan durians that are favored for their thick, soft flesh with a bitter-sweet flavor. Compared to other durians, D24 are mostly used in cooking because it is easier to get out of their season.

Fun Fact About Durians


Musang King was originally known as Raja Kunyit, meaning "Turmeric King", a reference to the fruit's turmeric-colored deep yellow flesh. In the 1980s, a man named Tan Lai Fook from Raub, Pahang stumbled upon a Raja Kunyit durian tree in Gua Musang, Kelantan, Malaysia.

Have you seen a thornless durian? Cause they exist and it is totally normal! They taste sweet just like regular durians.

Choosing the right durian is as important as picking the ripened ones. Expert says to not choose a durian with a cracked bottom. You should also give your durian a good shake and listen for a knocking sound. This will tell you if the flesh is dry or creamy or if it is too moist and soggy.

There are almost 30 kind of durians in the world and they all have their own unique taste and smell.

Figuring out whether the durian is ripened can be difficult at times however one told that durian is ripened once the fruit falls from the tree!

Durian seeds are totally edible. Of course they need to be cooked before consumption. Most durian chips are made from their seeds!
